The Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombings took place here. This is also the birthplace of our current Secretary of State.

Once known as one of the most musically creative cities in the U.S., this city was home a class of light-skinned blacks called Creoles. In 2005, when the levees breached, nearly 80% of the city was submerged by the flooding.
