After his personal tragedy last year, he donated his son's eyes to a transplant institute in Tampa, where they helped two patients regain their sight.

This is the man who lost his temper only once when he coached in Tampa. It came during his first year when two players blew off a public appearance at an elementary school.

He is the third person in the history of NFL to win Super Bowls as a player and a head coach.

Last year he became the first African American driver in 20 years to qualify for a cup race. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and worked for Hewlett-Packard for 16 years. Currently he is the only African American competing full time in the NASCAR circuit.

She was the first African American on the U.S. National gymnastics team, 1988, and on the U.S. Olympic gymnastics team, 1992. She was also the first African American to win an individual Olympic medal in gymnastics, 1996. She attended the University of Maryland. She is also pursuing a career in acting, modeling and television production.

This event got its start in Columbia, SC back in 1990. This youth led event was started to help the hungry and hurting people. Today it is a nationwide ministry. The kickoff for the fundraising is usually held in February to coincide with another national event.
