Administration Areas of Responsibility & Staff

In South Carolina, the State Administrative Officer (SAO) operates under the direction of the State Conservationist. The responsibilities of the SAO include staff leadership responsibilities for administrative management activities of NRCS in the state. In this capacity, the SAO has assigned responsibility for:

  • Directing administrative staff activities.
  • Formulating, recommending and coordinating state policies and procedures in the area of administration.
  • Coordinating with program managers on all administration activities required to implement planned program operations.
  • Providing direct guidance and assistance to the state conservationist on all administration activities.
